Beach Lake Sled Dog Trails
The trail system at Beach Lake Park is the heart and soul of the Chugiak Dog Mushers Association. These dedicated sled dog trails (Aug. 1 - April 15) are crucial to the survival of dog mushing in Alaska.
Over the span of several decades, club members have established and maintained over 16 miles of groomed trails withing the park. Beach Lake trails provide an excellent range of training opportunities, winding through birch forests, spruce bogs, open meadows, and lakes.
