COVID-19 Precautions
CDMA is closely monitoring the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) updates and local, state, and national health department directives and guidelines. The health and safety of the community, volunteers, and our members are of utmost importance to us and we have implemented procedures to aid in the safety of all involved. Please check back often as the directives, and thus procedures, may change.

Please read carefully. **All individuals should consider their risk of exposure to Covid-19 before deciding to use the CDMA facilities for events, training, or other purposes.** All participants* are required to follow these COVID-19 safety provisions when attending the CDMA dryland events. This page will be updated as conditions / restrictions change. Here is what you can expect: |

• Registration: All event registrations, memberships, and payments will be online to limit direct contact.
• Face Coverings: All participants over the age of 2 will be required to wear face masks or coverings in accordance with current CDC guidelines. Masks or cloth face coverings (balaclava, bandanna, scarf, mask) are highly recommended at all times but required if within 6 ft of a non-family member, for example, in the parking area, at the race meeting, by volunteers at the start line. Both mouth and nose must be completely covered.
• Parking: Each racing team will park in a marked space adjacent to the starting posts, allowing appropriate social distancing to occur.
• Social Distancing: Race crews (including handlers, family members, and guests) will maintain 6 feet of separation from other individuals not part of their race crew.
• Race Start: CDMA will not provide assistance at the start line for teams. Each racer must be able to handle their own team. Racers and their crew are solely responsible for handling their dog team at race start.
• Indoor spaces: Use of the clubhouse, timing tower, and equipment storage area is limited to authorized CDMA Board members and volunteers. The club house will be closed during dryland races.
• Event: Race meetings and awards will be conducted outside.
• Contact Information: Competitors are required to provide names and phone numbers for all members of their racing crew (handlers, family members, guests, etc.). Details will be provided during registration. In addition, COVID-19 screening criteria must be met.

COVID-19 Screening Criteria:
All *participants attending a CDMA event must meet the screening criteria listed below. Racers will receive an email link to a COVID Safety Form that must be completed within the 24 hours prior to the event. Volunteers will fill out a different Volunteer COVID Safety form. Please have these summitted the day before the event by 6pm.

In the past 14 days, I have not:
▪ been in contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19▪ had a positive COVID-19 test for active COVID-19 ▪ been told by a public health or medical professional to self-monitor, self-isolate, or self-quarantine because of concerns about COVID-19 infection ▪ Traveled out of state, without having a negative Covid-19 tests since returning In the past 24 hours, I have not had any of the following symptoms: ▪ Shortness of Breath ▪ Cough OR at least TWO of the following symptoms: ▪ Fever (100.4 or higher) ▪ Chills ▪ Muscle pain ▪ Headache ▪ Sore throat ▪ New loss of taste or smell If you answer “NO” to any of the criteria above, please DO NOT ATTEND this CDMA event. CDMA will refund your entry fee upon request. |
*Participants of any CDMA event include all persons present on CDMA premises during the event, regardless of membership status in CDMA. CDMA premises include the two parking lots and staging areas, sled dog trail system, clubhouse, timing tower and equipment storage area at Beach Lake Park.
